David Cole Joins Nashville Jr. Predators as Goalie Coach
The Nashville Jr. Predators are excited to announce David Cole’s addition to our goalie development staff and serve as an Assistant Coach on the 14U (2010) AAA team. David brings a wealth of experience and a passion for coaching that aligns perfectly with our mission to develop, impact, and guide our community!
David Cole’s journey in hockey started early. Born in Monrovia, Liberia, and raised in Pullman, Washington, and Amherst, Massachusetts, he has been involved in the sport from a young age. At Amherst Regional High School, he captained teams in three sports—football, ice hockey, and baseball—before continuing his hockey career at Williams College. His love for coaching took root in New York City, where he began coaching multiple sports at Joe Espinosa Sports Club for seven years. Later, he led the Fan Development Departments for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Atlanta Thrashers over an 11-year tenure in the NHL.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Nashville Jr. Predators organization,” said David Cole. “I look forward to building strong relationships with the players and their families and helping our goalies reach their goals on and off the ice.”
After moving to Minneapolis in 2009, David became a prominent figure in the hockey community, serving as both a head coach and a goalie coach at various high schools and youth associations and St. Olaf College. His dedication to the sport is further highlighted by his role as a Minnesota Goalie Development Leader, a Level 5 USA Hockey Coach, and his work on the USA Hockey Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
“We are thrilled to have David join our coaching staff,” said Kevin Muller, Boys Tier I (AAA) Director and Head Coach of the Boys 18U AAA team. “His experience and knowledge of the game will be invaluable to our organization and its athletes. We are confident that he will significantly impact the development of our goalies and enhance our program.”
David Cole’s addition to the Nashville Jr. Predators represents a significant step forward in the program’s commitment to excellence and goalie development. With his diverse background and extensive coaching experience, David is poised to help guide NJP’s goaltending program to new heights!
