After more than sixty years, the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament is still a place of unforgettable encounters, where thousands of players aged eleven and twelve come to defend the colours of their teams.

The tournament was founded in 1960 by Gérard Bolduc. Tired of taking his team to Goderich, Ontario, he wanted his own city to host — and in 1959 he decided to create a pee-wee tournament in Quebec City, timed to run alongside the Carnaval de Québec each February.
Guy Lafleur played the 1960 to 1964 editions. For three of those years he was the tournament all-star, scoring 64 goals in total — a record individual performance that stood for a long time. Ten years later, in a single appearance, a kid named Wayne Gretzky beat the goaltenders 26 times.
